Introducing The Gooseflesh, Turkish Delight Electro Duo

Hailing from Istanbul, Gooseflesh is the duo created in 2007 by producers Ulas Pakkan and Volkan Akaalp, two electro troubadours with quite significantly different backgrounds. Ulas Pakkan (aka Jackdied) was studying mechanical engineering while playing drums for a few rock and jazz bands, while Volkan Akaalp (aka Jasko) was a student at the cinema academy until he quit his division and focused on music production & djing. Gooseflesh was created shortly after the two men's encounter and has since been acclaimed as Turkey's most relevant up-and-coming electro act, making waves in the electro scene from Berlin to Montreal.
They are now one of Turkey's most sought after electronic music producer (they lately remixed Digitalism, Donzelle, Play Paul and Cut Copy!!), with their atypical concoctions of haunting nu-school techno, with tracks and remixes out on Coco Machete, Big Splash and Boxon Records among others. The duo placed second in the Digitalism remix competition of Taken Away last year, probably one of my favorite of the remixes going around, does justice to the track really.

Just stumbled across these guys the other night, very nice polished sounds and awesome rocking out with cowbells in Taken Away remix. Check out their myspace page for their tracks. www.myspace.com/thegooseflesh or buy off beatport.

Their new ep is out have a looksy.

Bit early to predict but keep your eyes and ears on these guys think they will blow up this year for sure!
