Sydney Festival
Nothing ever happens in January. Apart from the odd music festival, it really is a lack luster month.
Sydney may be a pretentious cunt of a city, however it does manage to redeem itself at this time of year. Sydney Festival runs from January 10 - 31 and offers a bunch of free gigs, films and even closes a few streets for a block party-esque rave.
The line up includes: Bon Iver, A-Trak, Santogold, Camille, The Cinematic Orchestra, Grace Jones, The Matthew Herbert Big Band, St Vincent, Four Tet, Z-Trip, Mr. Scruff and so on.
"Williams' Blood" has been doing the rounds lately and there are more remixes than empty Macquarie Bank executive car parks but the Aeroplane Dub is a stand out.
